C101 Oxygen-Free Copper
C101 is a high-purity Oxygen-Free Electronic (OFE) copper, typically containing more than 99.99% copper. It offers extremely high electrical and thermal conductivity together with excellent ductility. Compared with C110, C101 has lower oxygen content and higher purity, making it particularly suitable for high-end electronics, vacuum systems, and precision components requiring superior conductivity and material purity.
Appearance & Properties
Color: Reddish copper to reddish-brown
Density: Approx. 8.94 g/cm³
Electrical Conductivity: Excellent, typically ≥101% IACS
Thermal Conductivity: Excellent
Corrosion Resistance: Good
Machinability: Moderate to difficult
Weldability: Excellent
Ductility: Excellent
Magnetism: Non-magnetic
Surface Finishes: Polishing, nickel plating, tin plating, silver plating, passivation, etc.
Typical Applications
C101 Oxygen-Free Copper is widely used in semiconductors, electronics, electrical power, vacuum equipment, new energy systems, scientific instruments, and high-end electrical equipment.
Typical parts include high-conductivity terminals, electrodes, busbars, vacuum-system components, connectors, electrical contacts, heat-dissipation components, and high-purity precision CNC copper parts.
Advantages
• Extremely high electrical and thermal conductivity
• High copper purity and very low oxygen content
• Excellent ductility and formability
• Suitable for vacuum and high-cleanliness applications
• Ideal for high-performance electrical and electronic components
Limitations
• Relatively low strength and hardness
• Tendency to adhere to cutting tools during CNC machining
• Generally more expensive than C110
• Less cost-effective when ultra-high purity is not required
