C630 Nickel Aluminum Bronze
C630 is a high-strength nickel aluminum bronze containing additions of nickel and iron. It offers excellent strength, wear resistance, corrosion resistance, and fatigue performance. Compared with C954, C630 generally provides higher overall mechanical performance, making it particularly suitable for critical components operating in seawater, under heavy loads, and in long-term wear conditions.
Appearance & Properties
Color: Golden yellow to golden-brown
Density: Approx. 7.6 g/cm³
Tensile Strength: Approx. 690–830 MPa (depending on material condition)
Corrosion Resistance: Excellent, particularly in marine environments
Machinability: Moderate
Wear Resistance: Excellent
Fatigue Resistance: Excellent
Strength: High
Magnetism: May be slightly magnetic
Surface Finishes: Polishing, grinding, blasting, plating, etc.
Typical Applications
C630 Nickel Aluminum Bronze is widely used in marine, offshore, aerospace, oil and gas, heavy machinery, pumps and valves, and power transmission equipment.
Typical parts include bushings, sleeves, gears, valve stems, pump shafts, marine shaft components, fasteners, guides, and high-load wear-resistant CNC parts.
Advantages
• High strength and good load-bearing capability
• Excellent wear and fatigue resistance
• Excellent corrosion resistance in seawater
• Good impact and anti-seizure properties
• Ideal for critical high-load and marine components
Limitations
• More difficult to CNC machine than conventional brass and bearing bronze
• Relatively high material cost
• Significantly lower electrical conductivity than pure copper
• Requires appropriate tooling and cutting parameters for efficient machining
